Florence County

Located along the Wisconsin-Michigan border, Florence County is a wilderness paradise. More than half of the county’s land is publicly owned forest – more than 250,000 acres – making Florence County one of the wildest places in Wisconsin.

Marinette County

Marinette County is ideally located in Northeast Wisconsin on the shores of Green Bay bordering the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Oconto County

The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest provides a wide variety of mountain biking opportunities ranging from well-maintained and signed loops to more challenging cross-country travel. The McComb Nordic Ski Trails are the perfect location during the Summer for mountain biking.  This trail includes four different loops that range from easy to difficult. Portage County

Top spots for biking in the Stevens Point Area

Green Circle Trail – This unique 27-mile trail loops through the region, linking scenic natural areas along the Wisconsin River, Plover River, and through a diverse mix of habitat. Want to keep going? The trail connects to more than 40 miles of additional trail to explore, including the 280-acre Schmeeckle Reserve, the Stevens Point Sculpture Park, and the Tomorrow River State Trail.

Standing Rocks County Park – This spot is a mountain bikers paradise, with plenty of single trail trails and wider trails to explore – perfect for beginners to experts.

Tomorrow River State Trail – This scenic stretch, from Plover to Manawa, takes through the countryside on a rails-to-trails crushed limestone route.
